The scraper is actually worth using
Unlike many of the small firesteels, you can actually use the included scraper. From my own experience, it’s quite effective and useful.

Yep - those were the words that came out of a customer's mouth the other day. Funny enough, it was actually an old friend I hadn't seen in years. He stopped by to pick up this firesteel and a kelly kettle.
We went outside in the rain and found a piece of [soaking wet] birch firewood I had lying around. The wet birch bark was scraped off and made into tinder.
A single stroke... there was fire. "Damn, this is wild," shouted Rasmus.
