  • Fill the pot with water and then add the coffee. Just use the regular coffee from your kitchen cupboard for campfire coffee, and then generously add it to the cold water. You’ll need about twice the amount you’re used to. Let the coffee sit in a heap on top of the water.
  • Place the pot over the fire, bring it to a boil, and let it boil vigorously for 1 minute. Once the water has boiled with the coffee, remove it from the fire.
  • Now pour in some cooler water, for example from your water bottle. It should splash a little. The cold shock causes the coffee grounds to settle, and that’s the whole trick to making coffee without a filter.
