Campfire is ultimately the coolest activity when you’re out on a trip... period! Yes, it’s mainly for the delicious food you can make on it and the coziness that comes with it, but otherwise. 🔥

The fire is also a fantastic heat source when you need to sleep. If you manage to set up well, with the right type of fire, sleeping gear, and other constructions, then you’re all set.

For the fire, I would definitely recommend a Longfire. It burns for a long time and keeps you warm all night. On the prairie, they have done this for hundreds of years.🌲

As with everything else, the "ASF" concept applies »Common Sense«.

Therefore, use wool blankets and not things made of nylon when you try this, and don’t sleep too close either. It takes a bit of finesse, but the whole experience is worth it.🏕

Take a look on YouTube and search for "longfire". Above, I just found one of several videos for you.

You can also try searching for "Sleep with wool blanket". Here, an old friend has made a video and uploaded it.

It shows you how to do it with the wool blanket.

When darkness falls, there is nothing cozier than the light from an old-school lantern and some bacon cooked over the fire.
