This splitting axe is named after the Swedish town of Hult, where Hult Bruks, the original axe brand, was established in 1697.
You can just start counting back! It is thus one of the world’s oldest axe manufacturers, and you won’t get a much better axe than a Hultafors.
We love this splitting axe. A long straight handle ensures you get a good swing when using it. A fantastic, beautiful, and HAND-FORGED axe head. It is as beautiful as anything can be! The head has a slight convex edge grind. The wooden handle is made of American hickory, treated with pleasantly scented linseed oil.
A leather edge protector comes with the axe.
