Just as flickering flames create atmosphere and enhance cooking around the campfire, live lantern light also adds something special to tent or shelter trips. 

The UCO lantern is compact and weighs only 201 grams with a candle inside. It can be folded down to 12 cm in height and 5 cm in width, but despite its size, it is a big personality in your outdoor life. 

It provides cozy lighting in the vestibule when you’re rummaging in the dark to find your sleeping socks, lighting for tired feet in the morning gloom, and it definitely creates a warm atmosphere in the camp when you sit with dinner at dusk after a long hike. 

The UCO lantern is safe and easy to operate. Simply slide the UCO lantern’s glass down into the lantern’s cylinder to access the candle holder, insert your preferred candle, light it, and slide the glass back up into the top of the UCO lantern to secure it. 

The regular paraffin candle burns for about 9 hours, and the beeswax candle burns for 12-15 hours.

The UCO lantern holds one candle, either paraffin, beeswax, or citronella to keep mosquitoes and insects away. 

The UCO lantern has a small handle so you can hang it from a tarp, tent, hammock, or a stick by the campfire for extra lighting. 

The UCO lantern is a good alternative to the kerosene lantern, as it takes up much less space. You also save a lot of weight by not having to carry lighter fluid/lamp oil in your bag, since the candles weigh only 142 grams in a pack of 3. 

We do not recommend the UCO lantern in closed tents or small spaces as it uses a live flame.
