Lightweight Boot from English ALTBERG

Super nice quality boots from English Altberg. They are highly suitable for outdoor use, but I must admit that I actually also use mine daily – as in every single day.

Despite being a robust boot of top quality, they weigh only 1.2 kg per pair.

As Altberg says: “Perhaps the lightest boot in the whole world” – of course, they don’t mean compared to ordinary everyday boots, but to boots designed for professional use.

The boot has an excellent fit and can be used year-round, across seasons in our climate. You can stay warm in winter, but since they are developed as a desert boot, they also work great in summer – a brilliant combination!

Desert Microlite has a relatively high shaft, which is unlined, ensuring minimal moisture absorption and maximum breathability. The sole has strong torsion and flex resistance, making it ideal for uneven terrain and especially the Danish climate. The micro-layer in the sole provides excellent shock absorption.

They are true to size – if you normally wear size 40, choose that. The boots are available in both regular and wide models.

Altberg Desert Microlite is especially suitable for tabbing/trekking, as they provide good support for the ankle and heel.

Altberg made the first desert boots in 1994 for a defense unit going on exercise in Oman. After the exercise, the unit gave Altberg feedback that led to improvements, and that’s how the now legendary Desert Microlite was developed. Since then, the boot has been used in active service in Kuwait, Sierra Leone, Iraq, and Afghanistan – and remains Altberg’s most popular desert and everyday boot.
