The blade is locked both when folded and unfolded. When you’re sawing, it’s nice that the saw blade stays in place and doesn’t just fold back onto your fingers. One final nice feature is that the blade is coated. This coating reduces the chance of the saw getting stuck in the wood while cutting.

Attach some ORANGE PARACORD to the handle. If you drop the saw out in the forest, you will often lose it forever. The black and green colors of the folding saw look cool, but they also perfectly camouflage the saw on the forest floor!
