The axe file has two sides:
- Double-cut fine teeth for faster material removal. Use this if the edge has nicks, small damages, or needs straightening.
- Single-cut fine teeth for more controlled sharpening, finishing, and deburring.
This means you can both straighten the edge and fine-tune it – with the same tool.
The edges of the file are toothless. This reduces the risk of hitting and damaging the handle or axe head during work. The flat handle fits well in the hand and provides a secure grip, and there is a hole at the end for hanging in the workshop or shed.
