Description
Compact Pocket-Sized Diamond Sharpening Stone
Smart and small knife sharpening stone that is easy to use and quickly sharpens your knife to a razor edge.
The knife sharpening stone is perfect to bring on your trip, as this diamond sharpening stone is lightweight (50 g) and compact, yet it easily sharpens your knife.
It features two sharpening surfaces, one coarser (without being too coarse) and one fine.
It is very important to have a sharp knife to work with, whether you are filleting your freshly caught fish, carving by the campfire, or setting up your camp. A sharp knife is essential.
How to use this diamond sharpening stone.
Draw the knife through the coarse carbide side 1-4 times using only the knife’s own weight.
Then draw the knife through the fine ceramic side 1-4 times, again using only the knife’s own weight.
Depending on how dull the knife is, often just one or two passes on the coarse and fine sides are enough to get it really sharp.
It is important not to press or apply weight on the knife while sharpening, as this can cause burrs.
If you just want to touch up the edge, use only the fine side as that is often sufficient.
If you want to polish your knife further (also called stropping), to remove the smallest burrs, this leather strop for knife sharpening is what you need.
