A good, robust, lightweight boot from YDS.
This is a boot of high professional quality, used by the Danish military.
Despite being a robust military boot of top quality, the Falcon X weighs only 1.4 kg per pair.
Falcon X has good heat-insulating properties and an anti-slip, shock-absorbing sole.
The exterior is a combination of suede/split leather and heavy-duty nylon.
They keep your feet warm, and combined with the sweat-absorbing material, it’s a really good boot for the Nordic climate.
The boot is both water-repellent and breathable.
It has a good wide fit and holds firmly around the ankles and over the foot, so you don’t ‘slide’ around, even though there is plenty of room for your feet.
The boot includes a replaceable insole made from the extremely sweat-absorbing material Ortholite.
At the same time, it is also shock-absorbing, with a top layer of memory foam that molds to your footpads.
The boots have a normal fit, but always choose a boot with plenty of room, as your feet can swell from heat or after a long day.
Additionally, it can be nice to wear a thick sock in winter. In summer, you can compensate for the ‘extra space’ (when wearing a thinner sock) by adding an extra insole. Remember that all footwear needs to be broken in, especially boots which can feel very stiff at first, but this quickly disappears after a few outings.
There is a good care guide included in the box; we recommend reading it thoroughly or saving it so you can take good care of your boots and enjoy them for many years.
We recommend this boot for outdoor trips, hunting, and we also wear ours daily.
