Designed for Outdoor Life and Overlanding with the Car as Your Base

This car awning is easy to mount on your roof bars or roof rack using the included universal bracket. You can set it up on either the left or right side, depending on how you have arranged your setup. When packed away, it is well protected in a sturdy PU bag with a robust zipper – ready for your next trip.
The entire awning is easy to attach and detach from your car once the mounting brackets are installed, if you don’t want to drive with it all the time.
On our Defender, it stays on 95% of the time, but we can easily remove and reattach it (in about 5 - 10 minutes) when we want to change the setup or depending on the trip.
The awning has Velcro all around the edge so that side panels can be attached to fully enclose the space. The sides are on their way to stock. Contact us for more info.

Quick Setup – Under 5 Minutes

You unfold the awning / sunshade in under 5 minutes – no hassle or special tools needed.
The built-in legs fold down easily and are secured with guy lines and pegs (included), so the awning stands stable even in wind and weather. However, note that everything has its limits; this is not a reflection of quality, which is good, but wind and weather often have more power than expected. So always think like you do with outdoor life in general: better safe than sorry, always be on the safe side.

First Time Mounting Your Awning on Your Car

You will of course receive a universal mounting bracket when you buy a Cuma Gear Awning from us. It must be mounted on your roof bars or roof rack before you are ready to screw your awning in place. The awning is secured to the mounting bracket with 4 included bolts and is quick and easy once the brackets are installed.
Note: depending on which roof bars or roof rack you have, some extra adjustments may be needed during installation to fit properly, but most of the time it is very easy and straightforward. You can see a picture of the brackets here on the product and how they are mounted on our roof rack.

Everything on the awning is pre-assembled, so it is ready to use the first time you put it on and unfold it.
When you receive it, the awning is packed in the transport bag, so it is ready to be mounted directly on the mounting bracket.

Built-in LED Light – Warm and Cool Light

A great feature of this fixed car awning is the built-in LED light. You can choose between warm and cool light – or turn on both at the same time if you need extra lighting in the camp. It is ideal for cooking, relaxing, or working around the car after dark.
