You can benefit from practicing making your own "cutlery." One day you might forget it, and then it’s nice to have those skills ready. It started as a bad joke for me personally, but later it became a regular thing – I leave the cutlery at home and carve my own spoons! Now it’s a cozy habit that I think you can also try to adopt. Start, for example, with some fresh birch since it’s soft and easy to carve. Bring a pencil on your trip, strip the bark off your wood, and roughly shape it with an axe. Then draw the shape of your spoon on the wood with the pencil, and just get started with your Mora spoon knife.
Tips: You can use your new Mora 164 spoon knife straight out of the package, but it’s recommended that you sharpen it properly before use. Mora hasn’t spent much time or effort sharpening their spoon knives. So you’ll get the best results only after sharpening it yourself.
