Therm-A-Rest has revamped the already excellent and wildly popular NeoAir Xlite sleeping pad, making the Xlite pad even better.
A quiet sleeping pad
The new NeoAir Xlite NXT is made even quieter and more silent, specifically 83% quieter than previous models. So if you’re the type who wakes up at the slightest noise but still wants an ultralight sleeping pad, then the NeoAir Xlite NXT pad is a great choice.
What else has Therm-A-Rest done?
They have refined their already excellent patented technologies ThermaCapture™ and their Triangular Core Matrix™
In short, and in plain English, they have made some structural changes by adjusting the thickness of the interior of the sleeping pad, making it quieter but also warmer.
The old NeoAir Xlite has an R-value of 4.2, whereas the new NeoAir Xlite NXT has an R-value of 4.5.
The R-value represents an improvement of about 3 degrees compared to the previous model, so the NXT pad will be comfortable down to around -15 degrees.
The only downside is that it weighs about 10 grams more, but for a quieter and warmer night, it’s worth it, if you ask us.
