Description
Paracord 550 Type III
Paracord/parachute cord is almost indispensable in any packing when you’re heading out on a trip.
The nylon rope offers you a wide range of uses, whether you need to secure your tarp for the night, hang your hammock, build a bivouac, use as an extra guy line for your tent, if you need to tie something down, carry firewood, as an extra shoelace, etc. Only your imagination sets the limits.
However, we strongly advise against using it for safety on climbing trips or similar, as it is definitely not made for that purpose.
The name paracord comes from the words parachute cord. They were first used during World War II, when American soldiers, after landing, cut the cords free and took them with them because they could be used in many other ways.
Our paracord is made by a certified US government contractor and is made of nylon.
You can find plenty of inspiration on, for example, YouTube on how to braid/knot paracord/parachute cord, making it easy to carry, as well as ideas for uses – there are really many!
