There is nothing more wonderful than making stews or baking bread in a Dutch Oven over a campfire. Yes, you can also use it at home in the garden by placing coals on top and underneath it. Either way, the food and bread turn out better when cooked in one. Petromax stands out because the quality is top-notch, and the lid and pot actually fit together. With cheaper Dutch ovens, you risk that they do not.

Petromax Dutch Oven for 2-5 people

Make a batch of goulash or Beef Stroganoff for friends or family. These are definitely our favorites for the trip. Freshly baked rolls (yes, it’s great for that too) are also a clear hit as a morning wake-up in the camp.

Available in two variants.

The Petromax FT4.5 comes in a version with legs (FT4.5) and a version without legs (FT4.5-T). There is some difference in what people choose, and one is just as good as the other. If you mainly plan to cook by placing coals (briquettes) on top and underneath, the one with legs is preferable.
