Tormek PA-70 – Honing Compound for Leather Polishing Wheel

The Tormek PA-70 honing compound is used together with the leather polishing wheel on your Tormek sharpening machine. It is the final step in sharpening, where you remove the last burr and give the edge its ultimate sharpness.

This is where the difference really shows. The knife goes from “sharp” to truly sharp – achieving a smooth edge that holds exceptionally well.

How to use the PA-70 honing compound

When sharpening, a small burr forms on the edge. You remove it with PA-70 on the leather wheel. At the same time, the edge becomes smoother, resulting in longer-lasting sharpness.

The compound contains fine abrasive grains (about 3 microns), which work gently while delivering a beautiful finish.

Apply a small amount to the leather wheel and spread it before you start. One application typically lasts for several tools, so you don’t need to use much at a time.

The compound also helps keep the leather flexible, so the polishing wheel performs better over time.
