When it’s windy and gusty, ordinary pegs can’t always handle the job, but these storm pegs can.
You’d have to be extremely unlucky if a 25 cm long screw/twisted peg isn’t enough to hold the topsail down.
There’s nothing more annoying than having to get up in the middle of the night because everything is about to blow away, so I’ve replaced the round steel pegs myself with a combination of storm screw pegs and regular alu storm pegs that I use all year round.
