Whether you’re out in nature, on a plane, or watching a football game indoors, it can be useful to have a good, soft, and warm seat pad with you.

The Lite Seat Heatwave from Therm-a-Rest is a really good seat pad, with a small packed size and weight, yet incredibly comfortable.

Basically, the Lite Seat is a mini version of a self-inflating sleeping pad.
This means it protects you from both the cold and the surface beneath you, allowing you to sit softly, warmly, and comfortably.

Never underestimate the value of good breaks.

When you’re on a trip, you use your body actively, and it’s during breaks and at night that you need to recharge with new energy for the next stage, or maybe just sit and enjoy nature with a good cup of coffee.
That’s why it’s important that you, of course, have a good sleeping bag, a good sleeping pad, but also something comfortable and warm to sit on when you take a well-deserved break.

How to use the seat pad from Therm-a-Rest.

When you want to use your Lite Seat, release the strap around the pad and open the valve. This allows the seat pad to start drawing in air as the foam expands.
It can take a couple of minutes, especially the first time.
Before closing the valve, you can give the Lite Seat a few extra puffs with your mouth to achieve the thickness and firmness that suits you.

When packing your Lite Seat again, open the valve and push out as much air as possible.
Then fold your seat pad in half and start rolling it from the opposite side of the valve.
Once you have rolled your Lite Seat tightly and removed as much air as possible, close the valve again and fasten the strap around it to keep it compact in your bag. The Lite Seat doesn’t take up much space once packed, only about 6.5 cm x 18.5 cm.

We always recommend not leaving your sleeping bag, foam sleeping pad, or in this case your Lite Seat, compressed for long periods.
This is to prevent the product from losing some of its insulation and comfort.
When you get home, if it’s going to be a while before you use it again, just unroll your Lite Seat and open the valve—nothing more is needed.
If something happens, don’t worry, Therm-a-Rest only makes high-quality products, so it should still hold up.
