Description
Finnish Knife Blade - Lauri 70 mm - Make Your Own Knife
Lovely small carbon knife blade from Finland, perfect for those who want to handle their own knife.
Making your own knife handle is not as difficult as you might think; you can find our complete how-to guide further down.
The Lauri knife blade is a small classic Finnish knife blade of good quality.
The blade length is 70 mm, and it is forged from carbon steel.
This makes it easy to maintain, sharpen, and keep sharp.
When you have put effort into making your own knife handle, it is of course important to take good care of it afterwards.
Keep your homemade knife dry after use, and regularly oil it to protect it well.
Carbon steel is not the best choice if used with saltwater, but if you maintain it well, you can definitely take your homemade knife on a fishing trip too.
How do I make my own knife handle?
As mentioned, it’s not that difficult.
You can make your knife handle with either dry or fresh wood; these are two different methods. You can read more about both methods here, where we have written a complete (easy) guide on how to make your own knife handle.
